You Can Help

If you work or volunteer at a shelter and have a special dog that you think would be a good match for a veteran in need, please submit a video and biography of the dog to

Dogs must be:
• rescued/shelter dogs
• social
• healthy
• eager to please
• good with other dogs and all people

We will consider your rescued dog for our program once we have received all the information you can provide. There are no restrictions; however, we are inundated with groups wanting us to accept more pit bulls and pit mixes into the program. We are a pit-bull friendly organization but already have a lot of them.

Each dog we rescue incurs quite a bit of expense. Transport, training, housing, feed and transporting to the veteran costs over $3,000 per dog. For $19 a month, you can sponsor a Paws of War dog in training.

Your donations are greatly appreciated. Every penny goes directly to our program of providing dogs for our military veterans.
